Although it’s been a challenging year with above average rainfall, vintage has progressed well. All our Hunter Valley wines are now safely tucked away in the winery and the quality of these wines are looking excellent. We are now processing fruit from the Hilltops NSW region and expect all our all our fruit to be harvested by early April.
While the rain has presented some challenges for vintage 2022, the cooler weather has provided an extended ripening period. This has resulted in harvested fruit that displays excellent varietal characters with a lovely balance between sugar and acidity.
If you’re looking for a standout wine from this vintage, look no further than our Mastercraft Verdelho. It’s shaping very nicely and is one of the best our winemaker has seen for a few years.
We look forward to bottling these wines in the coming months and seeing you enjoy them throughout the year.
